Úna McGlinchey, a talented fiddle player from Omagh, Co. Tyrone, is a rising star in the world of traditional Irish music. Currently studying at Queen's University Belfast, Úna has been immersed in music from a young age, growing up in a musical family and honing her skills under the guidance of renowned musicians Brid Harper and Nollaig Casey.

Her dedication and passion for the fiddle have led to significant achievements in the traditional music scene. In 2019, Úna won both the All-Ireland 15-18 Fiddle and Fiddle Slow Airs competitions, showcasing her exceptional talent. She continued to excel, capturing the title of Senior Fiddle Slow Airs champion in 2022. That same year, she also triumphed in the prestigious Fiddler of London competition, and in 2023, she added the Fiddler of Oriel title to her list of accolades.

In addition to her individual accomplishments, Úna is a valued member of the Ulster Comhaltas Orchestra and Misneach Orchestra, where she performs under the direction of Michael Rooney and Ciarán Fitzgerald, respectively. Her contributions to these ensembles further highlight her skill and commitment to preserving and advancing the rich tradition of Irish fiddle music.
