Profitability of rice production using a drum seeder
The results showed that use of paddy drum seeder increased the grain
yield compared to farmers practice of Traditional transplanting method. Drum seeder technology reduced the seed rate compared to Traditional method and resulted in higher returns to farmers The labor requirement was found to less compared to the traditional method. lower seed rate, rs. 5000 to 10000 less expenditure, 5 - 10 bags extra yield was observed in Drum seeding method comparing to traditional practices.
