As we are cognisant, sir is a Second Generation Officer who volunteered and joined the Indian Army in the Corp of Artillery.
He was posted along the Line of Control - Indo Pak Border.

Sir also got posted in the Assam Rifles in the North eastern part of the country, where he acted as ADC to the General Officer Commanding.
He was awarded a commendation card for his meritorious service to the nation.

Most interestingly, sir was a few days back honoured with another Commendation Card from DG of Assam Rifles, as a Civilian for his unmatched contribution post retirement.

Getting a commendation card as a civilian is a humongous achievement.)
