NYC Students Propose Solutions to Put an End to School Segregation |

You'd think, in our current context, that racism and segregation has been eliminated. Unfortunately, some of the residual mentalities have persisted to today's time, and the social barriers that existed pre the Civil Rights era, are reinforcing the economic segregation that's being created within our school system.

We gathered a diverse group of NYC students from INTEGRATENYC4ME to share their experiences in segregated educational environments, and asked them to propose ideas on how to fix this problem. INTEGRATENYCME is an advocacy group dedicated to creating integrated and equitable schools for all.This isn't just a minority issue, or a New York issue, this is an American issue.
