Nimitta brings you a very unique musical series 'Nava Vidha Bhakti" showcasing compositions on various forms of Bhakti.
Bhagavatha says about nine forms- Shravana, Keertana, Smarana, Archana, Padasevana, Vandana, Dasya, Sakhya and Atma Nivedana.
This video is on Sakhya Bhakti. The composition by Sripadarayaru is in a friendly note, inviting the God himself to play with. Rayaru tells his friend, Ranga vittala to play small games on the banks of Yamuna. He blends stories of Ramayana, Bhagavatha and Mahabharatha in the chanranas.
Composition is in raga Brndavanasaranga and set to Aditala.
Vocal duet by Vid Sriram Sastry and Smt Shruthi Karkodlu.
