#145 - Mayzee Seymour - “From being scouted at a birthday party, to recovery from injury, to playing at premier league stadiums”

In this episode I speak with footballer Mayzee Seymour as we explore her career, from being managed by her uncle, to being scouted at a birthday party and going on to play at Tottenham Hotspur Women's Academy, to being in the Essex Centre of Excellence, to signing for Billericay Town FC.

Mayzee opened up about being injured for over a year and how this has affected her physically and mentally and how the pressure of football can take its toll you on you. It was fantastic to hear the insights into Mayzee's career, from the wonderful high's including playing at Carrow Road and Loftus Road, to continuously being challenged and learning. Mayzee talks about the enjoyment of playing and that want of playing with an outlook of playing for as long as possible.

As this episode releases right at the start of the new season, where Mayzee spoke about her past experiences, Mayzee has recently resigned for Billericay Town Women's FC and starts a new season ahead which is really exciting! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
