Priceline went public in March of 1999, after just one year of operation. It was the middle of the dotcom era and a golden time for online businesses. Priceline’s IPO became one of the hottest ever, turning the company into an overnight sensation.
In 2018, the Priceline Group rebranded itself as Booking Holdings.In 2023, 36 million air tickets and over 1 billion room nights were booked across Booking Holdings, generating total yearly revenues of $21.4 billion.
