Final day of 2021 duck season was a success. We hunted over a small spread of 6 decoys with a one-of-a-kind modified Herters Goose decoy turned Goldeneye that John brought.

I got the first bird bird with my new Franchi Instinct LX, Eddie got a beautiful drake Goldeneye with his 100+ year old L.C. Smith 10 Gauge side-by-side with Damascus barrels, and Erich got his first ever common Goldeneye with a well placed shot on a bird exiting the decoys.

The birds that came close decoyed perfectly! Everyone got a bird on this cold December hunt while battling windchills around 0 degrees F and serious ice buildup on the decoys. Until next year!
