Welcome to Abha, in the picturesque Aseer region of Saudi Arabia! Join us as we prepare two delicious Arabian dishes: Mashgothah and Arikah, crafted by an Arab woman in the most authentic and traditional way and visit the bustling and amazing Tuesday Market to find some amazing variations of honey.

First, we make Mashgothah using flour from Aseerian wheat. The dough is mixed with water, kneaded thoroughly, and cooked in a pan without any oil or butter until it's perfectly done. Next, we prepare Arikah by mixing corn flour with yogurt and cooking it until bubbles appear, indicating it's ready. Meanwhile, we prepare ghee, heated and infused with spices and flour, to pour generously over the bread. Traditionally, wood dishes are used to serve these delights, and we top the kneaded bread with Ghadifa (ghee) and dates.

Watch as we taste the Arikah with dates and ghee by Umm Ali—it's a culinary masterpiece! The vibrant yellow ghee, paired with sour yogurt, corn flour, and honey, creates an exceptional blend of sweet and sour flavors.
