The Untold Story of Wahshi: Battle of Badar, Uhud, and Hazrat Hamza | Islamic Stories

Wahshi ibn Harb (RA) was the slave of Abu Sufyaan (RA) and Hind bint Utbah (RA). Before their reversion to Islam, Hind (RA) had a deep-hearted hatred for Hamza (RA), who was the uncle and foster brother of Nabi ﷺ. She asked Wahshi (RA) to kill him, offering him freedom in return. Wahshi (RA) complied and became the cause of the martyrdom of Hamza (RA). Nabi ﷺ was deeply saddened by his demise. Years later when Islam gained momentum, Wahshi (RA) feared for his life. He fled from Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah, choosing to hide by day and travel by night.
