In this video you will see how to do Shrikhand Mahadev Kailash Yatra? The Shrikhand Mahadev trek is a pilgrim trail that leads to the Shrikhand Mahadev peak, named after Lord Shiva. The key attraction of this trek is the breath-taking view of the Himalayan ranges from the Parvati valley. You see ranges of Kullu, Jorkandan, Rangrik ranges of Kinnaur and Hansbeshan and other surrounding peaks in the south east of Satluj river.
This trek can be done either from Nirmand side or Arsu side. THE POPULAR AND WIDELY TRAVELLED ROUTE IS FROM THE NIRMAND – JAON VILLAGE SIDE. This trek can be done in 6-7 days, (i.e. Delhi to Delhi).
Travel registration can be done both online and offline mode. Offline registration is done at Shingagad on the Yatra route, medical check-up is also done here. You will be allowed to travel further only after being medically fit.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE TREK
• Trek Length – 35kms One Side From Jaon Village
• Altitude – 5227 meters/19000 ft.
• Trek Difficulty Level – Moderate to Difficult
• Trail Type – Steep incline trek going through glaciers, rocky moraine path.
• Trek Time from Base Camp – Approx 5 days (Up & Down)
• Base Camp – Jaon Village
• Online Permit/Registration Website – https://shrikhandyatra.hp.gov.in/​
• Permit/Registration Fee – INR 250/- per person (non-refundable)
• Age Required – People below 18 years and above 60 years are advised not to travel.
• Rail Route – Shimla is the nearest railway station to Jaon village – 170 Km.
• Road Route by Bus – Buses are available from Shimla ISBT. You can take a cab/local bus from Shimla to Rampur (130 kms) then Rampur (HP) to Nirmand and Nirmand to Jaon Village via Bagipul (Base Camp).
• Road Route by Car – Delhi to Shimla, Shimla to Rampur (HP), Rampur to Nirmand, Nirmand to Bagipul, Bagipul to Jaon Village (Base Camp), Jaon to Shrikhand Mahadev Trek
Total Distance From Delhi – Approx 550 KMS (One side)
CAUTION – PEOPLE WITH NO OR LESS HIGH ALTITUDE TREKKING EXPERIENCE SHOULD AVOID THIS TREK.
