Survive on a 15-hour flight | Singapore - Los Angeles A350 | Singapore Airlines

Welcome back to my channel. In today's video I will showing you my flying experience onboard Singapore Airlines A350 from Singapore to Los Angeles (LAX). This is my first long haul flight after so many years of hiatus due to the pandemic. Initially I was quite nervous as I wasn't mentally prepared for such a long flight (approximately 15 hours). This is also my first time flying on the 9V-SJ.. series of aircraft. The new Economy class product is a refreshing one and SIA removed its foot rest for passengers to enjoy more rooms. As an overall, Singapore Airlines cabin crew are always amazing. They are efficient, friendly and professional. Legroom is good for me, however it wasn't a good for for those who are 180cm tall or above. Some changes are made onboard. Menu card is no longer distributed. You have to connect to onboard wifi and browse the menu using your phone. Economy class passengers previously received a simple comfort kit which consists of socks and toothbrush. And now if you need it, you have to request for it (subject to availability).

Previously, I saw many reviews about Singapore Airlines' appalling inflight catering. To me, the taste is still great and portion is generous. When you look at the meal tray, it wasn't as good as other airlines such as Starlux Airlines, EVA Air, ANA, Thai Airways and Emirates. (You may view my other vlogs and compare their meals and SQ). For the first time, I am giving a negative review about this airline. Many reasons are revolving around cost cutting and pandemic. Aviation industries are on the rise again and this is definitely not the reasons passengers or avid aviation would love to hear. This is really a sad sight. If you are flying on its B737max, you literally get a small meal box. Hot towel and inflight magazine were gone. However, e-literature is available in its entertainment system. As an overall, I still rate this as a good flight except the meal. They cabin crew are still the best, literally the greatest asset of the company. Flying with Singapore Airlines is still a good experience for mid-haul and long-haul journey. I hope SIA could improve its catering or meal and bring back some "missing" products or service in order to stay on tip-top level while some other premium airlines are emerging.
