The on-off button and other buttons was stuck in my Nikon D600 because of some soft drink, the aluminium was very corroded where the top cover meets the camera body.

And specially around the on-off button, so the only solution was to take off the top cover.

To take apart the on-off button in the Nikon D600, you should be careful about the very thin flex cables. And remember to take notes or take close up pictures.
