IN this episode of trekking the most extreme mountain in Java, Gunung Ruang, we head for the summit at 4am in the blistering cold where we had to wait for sunrise to continue as the track was too treacherous to walk while it was still dark.

We had to get a fire going to keep warm while we waited. One of the most incredible mountains we've climb so far, extreme, but not as extreme as everyone made out, so definitely go try it, you won't regret it.
