Here is the much awaited cheap true wireless earphone from Boat lifestyle brand once again. Yes, Boat is on fire launching consecutive earphones every week to keep us busy. This is the all new Boat Airdopes 171 true wireless earphone that was launched recently for just ₹1,799 on Amazon. You can also get in blue and rose gold colour variants as well.
Boat Airdopes 171 comes with all plastic body yet sturdy build quality case as well as earphones. There's an LED light on front of the case but does it's job only while charging the case! How sad! The case has micro-usb charging slot behind and nothing else on case apart from logo. The case is super compact to many other earphones and case is simple and has a slight shiny texture on top and it looks curvy at any angle.
The earphones weigh just 4.3 gram each and has sturdy build quality. It's kind of dual tone coloured earphones if looked from close distance. There's an LED light on both the earphones and a microphone on both again so if situation demands you to use just one earphone then this comes handy. There physical multi-function button on both the earphones not the demanding touch sensor, this is acceptable considering the price.
Earphones sensor worked well without being called cheap, the auto connect right after taking from case works and keeping them back as well worked though not instantly but worked. Unfortunately we will auto play or pause when removed from ears and in the background the audio goes on and on wasting the juice.
Coming to audio quality, this an average earphone that offer good music and vocals but not an impressive when it comes to bass. The distortion is high on higher volumes. Audio could have been tweaked a bit so that it would have been a great comprehensively.
There 43 mAh battery in each earphone that lasted 2.5 hr during my usage test while watching youtube videos and playing games. The case alone has 380 mAh battery that ca last up to 10 hours.
Cheap yet has IPX4 water resistant rating to handle low pressured water splashes as well as sweats. Go on and be fit and never worry about the sweats.
