Nebula - Halo sky at night

Hello and welcome back to my channel!

Nebula, on a 20x20inch canvas

So, Nebula is meant to be darker, like space, with hints of auras and the Galaxy, but I did lose a couple of the colours I used in the composition. It’s been roughly a year since I painted a Halo shape and I was overly cautious with the colours, worrying they would flood the canvas too much and I would lose the shape. However, I got the desired shape, just not all of the colours!!

Nebula is still drying as it’s getting colder here in England, and my garage is not heated, so she dries when she dries! But so far she’s drying well and I’ll share a picture once ready.

All paints are mixed with European Owatrol Floetrol and water. I use a ratio of 2 parts floetrol to 1 part paint and 1 part water. This mixture works for me and the effects I want to create.

Base Colour is Payne’s Grey by Windsor&Newton

Colours:
Arteza - Pearl white
Amsterdam - Deep Gold, pearl violet, permanent blue violet, carmine
W&N Professional Acrylics - quinacridone magenta (series 3) opera rose
