It's time for Orange Car to visit Eddie at Addiction Motorsports to diagnose the bucking problem in our bucking BOSS 302. At first, we thought the Ford Racing Super Cobra Jet Oval Throttle Body was still on the car, creating the below 3500 rpm "bucking" issue. Once we released the twin-bore version of this throttle body was installed by our mechanic while we were happily distracted with the births of my two sons, we realized there is a more serious issue at hand. After all, the twin-bore throttle body is known for relieving drivability issues the mono-blade throttle body is known to have. If the twin-bore throttle body is not the problem, then is it a torque management issue? What the buck is the bucking problem?

Eddie at Addiction Motorsports and HP Tuners utilized our Mustang BOSS 302 as the beta test vehicle for the TRACKEY ("Red Key") official unlocking and tuning in early 2017. This was a long time coming, as the TRACKEY was available from Ford Racing for years prior to HP Tuners and Addiction Motorsports teaming up to unlock the Ford Racing TRACKEY loaded BOSS 302 preset tune. Once this was accomplished, Ford Racing preset parameters could be further adjusted to customize numerous engine, drivetrain, and transmission options.

There are many ways to achieve 500 rwhp with the Road Runner Engine. This is our recipe.
