In this soap making lesson, I will teach you how to use up oils and essential oils that you might have laying around! I shall call this soap "lovely leftovers!" This is a cold processed, all natural vegan and palm free recipe with a refreshing blend of essential oils - perfect for a shampoo bar! I added some marshmallow root to help detangle my wild curly hair also :-) We will plug in the numbers from my spare oils into an online soap calculator, then I will also show you one option for adding goat milk into soap.

The recipe that I ended up with after measuring spare oils, then adding about 1/3 each of olive and coconut: 45 oz total,
1.5:1 distilled water:lye ratio, 5% superfat

12.2 oz olive oil
10.5 oz coconut oil
0.4 oz sweet almond (my leftovers)
2.2 oz jojoba (my leftovers)
3.0 oz hempseed oil
2.8 oz castor oil
4.6 oz lye + 2 tsp sodium lactate
7.0 oz water
3.5 oz of frozen goat milk cubes added in with the oils
marshmallow root
Random essential oils I had: lemon, lime, spearmint, peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus
