Woah boy! That Cave of Ordeals was a real... well, it was an ordeal! Now here's an even bigger challenge: the 'Cave of Shadows'. This is another optional challenge in the game. However, you can only access it by using the special 'Wolf Link amiibo' that came packaged with the Wii U game.
Luckily, we do indeed legitimately have this amiibo. Simply open up the 'Collections' and tap the amiibo to the Wii U gamepad. If this is the first time using that amiibo, it will ask you to register it to the Mii you're going to use it with. Seems rather pointless in 2025, but whatevs...
Let's jump right in...
CHAPTER 29 - CAVE OF SHADOWS
This area is broken up into three parts:
1) Floors 1-6 (00:00)
2) Floors 7-20 (04:18)
3) Floors 21-40 (15:44)
You don't have to wait until the end of the game to do this. The first section can actually be accessed after restoring light to Faron Province. The second section can be accessed after watching Ganondorf’s execution after Arbiter’s Grounds, and the third section after obtaining the upgraded Master Sword during the Palace of Twilight.
When you complete the first part for the first time, you'll be forced to leave. It will record how well you did in terms of health and combo attacks and save this onto the actual amiibo. If you've unlocked the next section, simply go back into the Collections screen and use the amiibo again.
You'll have to do the first part again, however when you reach Floor 6, you'll be able to continue. When you reach Floor 20, you'll be forced to leave again. If you've unlocked the last section, simply go back into the Collections screen and use the amiibo again...
You'll now have to do the first part for the third time and second part a second time... But now on Floor 20, you'll be able to continue all the way to the end. So yes, you'll have to do this essentially three times. However, we've edited out the repetitive parts. So the video will just show everything once.
Here's a breakdown of each floor...

IMPORTANT - When it saves the health and combo data onto the amiibo, you can use the amiibo ONCE each time you enter the dungeon to heal yourself back to the health that's saved onto the amiibo!
So for example:
-Clear the first part (Floors 1-6) without getting hurt
-Save that onto the amiibo
-Then use it once each time you enter the dungeon as needed to heal
You'll definitely want to save that for the third part of the dungeon! It gets super hairy. We didn't expect to actually beat it in this playthrough, but we did so that's that...
When you win, you'll receive the COLOSSAL WALLET, which can hold up to 9,999 Rupees! There's a neat statue of Wolf Link and Midna at the end. When you're ready, head back outside.
Welp, looks like it's time for us to take a break. Joins us next time for 'Ch. 30 - Hyrule Castle'!
