25 Christian Classic Books & Beautiful on the Mountain

Описание к видео 25 Christian Classic Books & Beautiful on the Mountain

I've been inspired to read more classic Christian literature by a book I ordered from Christianbook-Com, "25 Books Every Christian Should Read." You know me, I just had to know which books they recommended and why. Some of these books I'd never heard of before! I plan to try to read them all. Their book contains a brief synopsis of each book along with an explanation of why they believe it is important and life transforming. There are excerpts and study guide questions, and more. For me it is a fun book to read; I'm enjoying it.

The books were chosen by readers who are both Catholic and Protestant (various denominations) and I even noticed one of the books is a Quaker classic, which interests me because some of my ancestors were Quakers who came to North America in the 1600's because of persecution in England. Back then Quakers were more closely aligned with the Bible than they are now, for the most part, as I understand it. My 6x Great Grandfather's Bible was considered a precious family heirloom. I don't know who has it now.

I'm wondering if anyone else would like to read these classics with me. I've read only three of them so far. We could start a Goodreads group to discuss them, or discuss them on Faith's new theology discord group if she's okay with that.

I also mentioned that Deirdre is discussing Mere Christianity on her channel.

The book covers all came from Amazon which is where I buy a lot of my books, due to pricing and availability, especially for Kindle.
