The Skole Beskydy is a National Park in the Carpathians located in the Opir and the Stryi rivers basin. It is the only place in Ukraine where one can observe bison in the wild. One can also hear a brown bear, see tracks of a forest lynx, a buck and a roe deer. On the 35 000-hectare territory there are old-growth forests with silver fir and beech. These places are perfect for hiking and horse riding.
