After learning about the whole schlemozzle of losing Conan's print rights I decided to check out this series and give my opinion on it. Was it this series that cost Marvel the Conan rights?

Not for any reason I can see. This may be a modern Marvel book but it actually wasn't bad. Just make sure you skip book 4....
