Tree planting can be a tough job, so we followed Meichen to learn about her daily life, what drives her to plant trees and why reforestation matters.

It's not as easy are just planting trees. Meichen's day starts with coffee. From there she heads out into the field and planting countless saplings in the Willamette River Valley with her team. Being a professional tree planter isn't easy. It's also often seen as a male job, but within the industry, there's roughly a 50:50 split between male and female professional tree planteers, and these people all go hard, all day long, throughout the tree planting season!
