Easy Peony Flower Tutorial

Today we will learn how to make a Semi-open Peony Flower which can be a show stopper when made correctly for your cake decoration.

This tutorial will help you master the Peony without any special tools or even a styrofoam ball. Learn how to make and shade this beautiful and realistic flower along with basic foliage in a step-by-step tutorial now.

Tools & materials needed:
- foil
- white Gumpaste
- cornstarch to prevent sticking
- gel color to shade the gumpaste
- water
- thin paintbrush to apply water
- thick round/flat brush for dusting cornstarch
- flat/thin paintbrush for shading
- 18 gauge floral wire
- Peony petal cutter set
- gumpaste rolling pin, foam pad, and ball tool
- dresden tool
- petal dust (I have used bright pink, white, blush pink, ivy green and ochre yellow)
