mSpace facilitated a live interaction featuring Mariyam, a PhD Scholar in Behavioral Science at University of Rhode Island on 21st April 2024.

Mariyam Abbas is a PhD scholar at the University of Rhode Island, specializing in Behavioral Sciences with a focus on multiple health risk behaviours. President of the university's international graduate student organization, Mariyam is also a recipient of prestigious awards including the Asha for Education Fellowship, Enhancement of Graduate Research Award and the Asian Cultural Ambassador Award. Mariyam holds a MA in Psychology from Aligarh Muslim University. Prior to that, she completed BA from Avadh Girls’ Degree College, University of Lucknow, India, with majors in Psychology and English and minor in Political Science.
