Mysore, patronized by the erstwhile Maharajas, is always known for its rich art and culture. Many dance festivals are conducted in this cultural capital of Karnataka throughout the year. But an intellectual, classic and cut above the rest festival which has been taking shape in the form of this beautiful and enchanting annual dance festival “Nruthya BHUSHANA” hosted by the city’s very well-known dance center “Bhushans Academy” since 2007.

BHUSHANS ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS AND VISUAL PRESENTATION, an academy par excellence in the field of Bharatanatyam and Contemporary dances, headed by Internationally acclaimed Bharatantyam artist couple Guru Sri Badari Divya Bhushan and Guru Smt Anjana Bhushan, popularly known as “BHUSHANS’’ has come up with this dream project once again for the 15th consecutive year after the successful

“Abhinaya Bhushana” for professional dancers,

“Purusha Bhushana” for male and couple dancers,

“Udbhava Bhushana” for child prodigies,

“Nruthya Bhushana” for upcoming Dancers,

“Vrunda Bhushana” for group presentations,



"Visistha Bhushana" for contemporary Presenatations,


"Poshaka Bhushana'' for dancers abroad.
since 2005 !!

Artists from across India were chosen meticulously to be a part of this festival. Performances were in the form of solo, duet, and group presentations which was a visual treat for the art lovers of Mysore . Different classical forms like, Bhratanatyam, Kathak, Mohiniyattam, DevaNrityam and Kuchipudi with specially worked themes were presented at the festival.



This year Several stalwarts, accomplished, versatile eminent artists performed at this unique festival with their productions. The event was held at the Ramagovind Auditorium, Ramakrishna nagara, Mysore .
