Gottfried David Gfrerer - The Willow | Slide Guitar Open D Tuning

Summertime is coming! Here is a love song from my album Polychrome. The lyrics of The Willow are loosely based on a Carinthian Folk tune. While filming - as if he had read the script - the sun peeked out from behind the moving clouds, disappeared and came back again. Unfortunately we have no willows here. Anyway, I think it is just as good to spend some quality time sitting in the shade of a cherry tree. The guitar is a 1929 wooden National Triolian with the rare walnut sunburst finish. It is also featured on my album Polychrome.
