BREAKING: REX launches GIF tomorrow - a brand new Fund of Funds covering their entire Growth and Income ETF lineup. This is a WEEKLY PAYER dropping distributions every Thursday. Max breaks down exactly how it works, what's inside it, how the dual-engine strategy stacks up against the competition, and whether it can compete with WPAY and YAX.
WHAT IS GIF?
GIF is Rex Shares' new Fund of Funds that equal-weights all funds in their Growth and Income universe. It pays weekly (Thursdays), dynamically adds new Rex funds as they launch, and uses a dual-engine strategy combining leveraged growth exposure with covered call income generation.
THE DUAL ENGINE STRATEGY:
GIF uses daily leverage between 105% and 150% on the full portfolio (growth engine), while simultaneously writing covered calls on half the portfolio (income engine). The leverage is dynamic - adjusted daily based on real-time risk sentiment, technical analysis, and trend monitoring. More bullish environment = higher leverage. Risk-off environment = pulled back toward the 5% minimum.
WHAT'S INSIDE GIF RIGHT NOW:
Equal-weighted exposure to Rex Growth and Income funds based on:
Nvidia (semiconductors/AI)
Tesla (robotics/AI)
Coinbase (crypto/DeFi)
Strategy / MicroStrategy (crypto)
Palantir (AI)
Eli Lilly (pharma)
Walmart (consumer economy)
Robinhood (DeFi/fintech)
CoreWeave (AI infrastructure)
New Rex Growth and Income funds will be added automatically at month-end rebalance once they have paid at least one dividend.
FEES:
Underlying fund fee: 99 basis points
GIF management fee: 24 basis points (waived through at least February 2027)
Effective cost: roughly 1% all-in
GIF vs. ROUNDHILL (W SERIES) - HEAD TO HEAD:
Max runs a full comparison of every fund where Rex and Roundhill share the same underlying asset - across 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, and year-to-date time frames. Results may surprise you.
KEY DIFFERENCE - REX vs. ROUNDHILL:
Roundhill W Series: 20% weekly leverage, total return swaps, NO option writing, theoretically unlimited upside participation
Rex Growth and Income: Daily dynamic leverage (105-150%), sells covered calls on half the portfolio, capped upside on that half but generates premium income as a downside buffer
