After replacing the battery and starter it still would not start. so i searched on forums for hours and pieced together and idea of how to test your starter and battery while they remain in the car. this saves hours and money wasted on parts that don't need to be replaced.

the verdict: CAS3 module was burnt, and i have also found the culprit! it was my engine to chasis ground cable. it has rotted and broke off so the electrical short took the path of least resistance and blew the little diode in my CAS module.

$100 replacement module from scrap yard
$550 to get someone to write my old CAS info onto the replacement and code it to my car.
