There is no magic number of reps that will get you a big chest, what you want to do is keep progressing and do more so your chest will grow more.
The # 1 tip I can say, is have perfect push up form. This is crucial if you want to be able to perform a lot of repetitions in a row. Great push up form starts with contracting your glutes and your abs, by doing this you will not have any energy leaks. The next area where people generally make mistakes, is having their arms and elbows flared out to the side, this is bad form, and will hurt your shoulders over time, you want to have your elbows at around a 75 degree angle. It can be a bit less if you have longer arms. Make sure to tuck your elbows as you perform the rep. Another mistake is people generally touch their head to the ground first, you want your chest to touch the ground first, this is good push up form.

After your form is perfect, make sure to have a solid workout plan with proper progression. I do offer online personal training for only $25 dollars Canadian/ around 19 dollars usa currency, and can help you guys out with a plan if need be. With the workout plan I highly recommend that you guys add repetitions as your way of overloading. There are so many different ways you can progress in a workout program such as adding sets, adding reps, increasing time under tension, increasing range of motion, adding weights, etc.
