Surface Iron Fishing - Island Yellowtails

We headed south in search of Yellowtail near the Coronado Islands. We found fish scattered in many different locations. We landed a number of Yellowtail, Bonita, Calico Bass and Barracuda all on the surface irons. Really fun day of fishing.

My surface iron rod has seen better days. It barely held on during the trip. I'll be searching for a new rod.
