On Monday, May 16, 2022, the UBC School of Public Policy and Global Affairs hosted a virtual event on the relevancy of public policy in a digital age. The panel discussed the role of policy in the oversight and regulation of technology, and whether the status quo is upholding key values such as vertical equity, cultural safety, and parity in access to the modern economy.
