Rubicon Trail - Day 1 - Loon Lake to Buck Island

Less than a year ago I tried taking my RZR Trail 1000 on 27s on the Rubicon Trail, needless to say, I didn't get far. Since then, I made the switch to off roading in a jeep. I bought a 2020 2D Rubicon and armored it up for just this type of event.
On this Jeeping Journey, Bill in his newly built Toyota Tacoma on 42s joins me, Tom and Garrett along with a solo adventurer, Dustin from Texas, who we invited along because this trail should not be run alone. The trail was busy for a Thursday morning, so with several delays, we o only made it to Buck Island.
Part 2 of the adventure will be coming out soon, which takes us from Buck Island to Lake Tahoe with an overnight stop at Rubicon Springs.
