The new Lotus Emira now has AMG power from the lunatic M139 4-cylinder engine from the Mercedes-AMG A45. The 2.0 litre turbocharged engine is twined with AMG's eight-speed DCT gearbox with paddle change.

I was surprised how great the 4-cylinder sounded and the responsiveness of the paddle gearshift. This is in no way the lesser experience compared to the 3.5 Litre supercharged V6, its just a different experience. Its lighter than the V6 too, so Lotus haven't simplified, but they've added lightness!
