Raffles Marina was officially opened in 1994. It was the first marina in Singapore built for superyachts. Prior to that, superyachts have to dock at commercial terminals which is not ideal.

Today, Raffles Marina remains the most yacht-friendly and functional marina in Singapore. Despite competition from new marinas built around the southern part of Singapore, Raffles Marina is the firm favourite for superyacht captains and crew.

The marina was designed to be practical. It has accommodation, bars & restaurants, and sports facilities for the crew. It has a boat yard and dry stacks for the tenders and toys. It is easy to approach and is not restricted by narrow entrance, the tide, or time of the day.

As a gazetted CIQP marina, visiting superyachts can have their immigration clearance done onboard at a small fee. Clearance is available from 9am to 5pm daily including Sundays and Public Holidays. This service has proved to be very popular especially for superyachts heading for shipyards in Singapore.
