This is my first attempt at a solo lap steel piece. I've been performing my arrangement of "Graceland" on acoustic guitar for sometime, and I was curious about adapting it to my lap steel. I'm in open D tuning and found some fun ways the play the different chords.

I've always loved Paul Simon, and this song gets me every time. It gets me from the first line, "The Mississippi Delta was shining like a national guitar."

As I mentioned above, I have another YouTube cover out with a more full band feel. I originally planned on it being a song for my band, but when COVID hit and I couldn't regularly see my band mates, I decided to record all the parts and harmonies myself and just have some fun with it in a time where I just needed to be creative.
