This video is contains no advise and is what I do. So do as you wish and decide for yourself.

If I am having a connection issue, I use the products in this video as follows. I will remove the corrosion with the electrical contact cleaner, spray the lubricant that improves electrical properties on there. Once I have a good enough connection and I feel like the corrosion is gone then I may use some sort of grease either dielectric or regular grease to keep the corrosion from happening again. Remember Dielectric does not conduct electricity. So if you have a bad connection it probably wont help solve that problem. it MAY....and CAN....because it lubricates the connection. which might wear off the corrosion. But it can get between the connection and cause issues. This has been my experience. On brand new connectors or cleaned connectors. People often use it to keep the corrosion from happening again. Which IMO is fine. As long as they are tight and free from corrosion. But if they are loose it may cause issues. Another concern : Silicone. Remember Armor All on your plastic dash? how did that work out for you? Silicones are suppose to keep plastics from having issues. Did it work on your dash??? I dont know but like I say sometimes I use regular grease and sometimes on a NEW connector with excellent connections I use Dielectric. NOT to make it connect better but to keep the moisture out!
