I was sent a Saberbay Darksaber to fix and finish for a customer. This is one of the rare occasions where I didn’t install a lightsaber from scratch! It was pretty much completed when I got it, my task was just to find what was wrong with the button pixel, glue the soundboard down, and add an accent strip. For that to be done I ended up having to relocate the wires to underneath the soundboard, clean up all the solder points, and basically do a bunch of small things to get it all in working order. But it turned out great, and makes me excited to build my own Saberbay Darksaber!

— THINGS TO REMEMBER —

Follow all instructions and tips from this video.
Accent Strip uses Data3 and LED4
Button and Crystal Pixels use Data1 and LED5
OLED display tends to glitch sometimes, to fix it just cycle the power until it turns on properly.
The board is glued in with E6000, and should be low enough for the brass crystal chamber piece to fit.
There is Kapton tape under the button PCB to help insulate the solder points.
Use your fingers or tweezers to take out the SD card when there is no crystal chamber inserted.
