📍 We recently visited this amazing natural wonder. and we're so 📍 excited to share our trip with you. Take a look. 📍 📍 The Cave of the Mounds is located near Blue Mounds, Wisconsin . and it is known for it's limestone cave that was discovered in 1939 by quarry workers.



📍 This was taken right after fall. Perched at the highest point, Blue Mound offers the spectacular views of the city and its unique geological features of wooded land.

In the summertime, all of these area can be seen full of green grassland. This area is called the driftless area with a norwegian influence. You will find footprints of all kind when walking on these concrete sidewalks.

As we make our way to the attraction, we saw a giftshop just right outside of the entrance.

During this time of the year, as you can see it was a little bit chilly. we had to wear our sweaters and hats. Once inside the gift shop, we were exploring various objects and checking things out,

There were many different types of crystals, rocks, and stones. So we bought a few items as a souvenir.

When you enter the cave, you'll be greeted by a stunning display of stalactites, stalagmites, and other rock formations that have formed over thousands of years. This was a pretty big cave, you'll see some parts that are spacious, and some that are just so narrow and small.

We went on a guided tour of the cave, which lasted about an hour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information about the cave's history, geology, and conservation efforts. The lighting inside the cave was also really well done, which made the formations really stood out.

One of the coolest parts of the tour was when we got to see a section of the cave that was still actively forming. We were able to see drops of water falling from the ceiling, which will eventually form into a stalactite or stalagmite. It was really amazing to see this natural process happening in real time.

Overall, we had an incredible time visiting the Cave of the Mounds in Wisconsin. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend checking it out. It's a truly unique and awe-inspiring natural wonder that you won't want to 📍 miss.
