But reports reveal that the 'Kabir Singh' actor backed out when he realised he’s losing the best actor trophy to another actor - Ranveer Singh.Well, yes, according to the reports, Shahid wasn’t too happy with the results of the best actor category and decided to back out of an already committed stage performance. As a result of Shahid backing out, the organisers reached out to Varun Dhawan who stepped in and replaced Shahid last minute as a performer for the awards night.
