Описание к видео BNSF's Harrison Local | Logan to Harrison | BNSF R-MON842 | 9/3/2024

For years MRL’s R-MRL844 also known as the Logan Local, 844 Local, and many other names has served industries around Logan as well as MRL’s 5th and 6th Subdivisions. On January 1st 2024, BNSF took over all operations from Montana Rail Link. In doing so several local train symbols were changed, the Logan based 844 was no different. Now known by the symbol BNSF R-MON842, it still serves as it did and normally sports GP35’s, SD40-2XR’s, or GP9’s. It is not known for how long this operation will remain in its current state as many other MRL operations now have BNSF power assigned. Today's assignment for the Logan based R-MON842 is the Harrison Local. They will take a cut of empty grain hoppers to Harrison located at the end of the MRL 6th Subdivision and return to Logan with loads. Before the 842 and her crew departed for Harrison they were tasked with some switching moves in Logan including switching out the CHS Petroleum Terminal. Here we see them returning to the yard with a cut of tanks from the facility. After switching the yard the crew dropped the MRL 264 as they would not need it on today’s run. After getting on to their cut of hoppers and completing an air test it was time to head west.
