2025 Audi S6 Sportback e-tron Headlight System

The new Audi S6 e-tron demonstrates Audi's leadership in lighting design and technology, a key part of its identity. The car's headlights and rear lights feature a three-dimensional design and offer digital light signatures, merging physical and digital elements. The A6 e-tron12 family includes optional digital daytime running lights with LED technology and second-generation digital OLED rear lights.

The digital OLED panels in the A6 e-tron12 have around 45 segments each, enabling car-to-x communication and enhancing road safety. The lighting design and new technology work together to create more vivid and intelligent light. The second-generation digital OLED rear lights consist of ten panels with 450 segments, using a specially developed algorithm to generate new images multiple times per second. The active digital light signature points to the future of Audi lighting technology, made possible by a software module in one of the car's five domain computers. At the front, the light signature is created by the algorithm's interaction with twelve dimmable segments, while at the rear, all digital OLED segments are used.

Audi is setting new standards in lighting design, functionality, and safety with the second generation of digital OLED rear lights. Safety functions have also been enhanced, with expanded proximity detection now including a communication light that warns other road users of accidents and breakdowns. The communication light displays a specific static taillight signature with integrated warning symbols in critical driving or traffic situations.

The technology also allows for greater individualization. With eight digital light signatures in the digital daytime running lights of the Matrix LED headlights and in the digital OLED rear lights 2.0, drivers can personalize their A6 e-tron12 based on the selected equipment.

A standout feature of the new Audi A6 e-tron12 is the equipment-dependent illumination of the four rings at the rear, highlighting Audi's corporate identity and giving the car a unique personality.
