Jessica rings the end of cancer treatment bell

Our young people are our inspiration and their courage and smiles drive us each and every day. Four-year-old Jessica is a shining example of someone who epitomises all these qualities (and more). Last summer she was diagnosed with a Wilms tumour – a rare form of kidney cancer. She has shown immense bravery, undergoing a gruelling 40 weeks of chemotherapy, 14 days of radiotherapy and an operation to remove her kidney. After such a journey we’re thrilled to share this video of her proudly ringing our ‘end of treatment’ bell when she was joined by her family, friends and members of our expert oncology team who were by her side every step of the way. A fan of ‘Trolls’ superstar Jessica dressed as Princess Poppy for the occasion and aptly marched through her deserved guard of honour to the song ‘Get Back Up Again’ from the hit film. Well done Jessica from all of us!
