Jesus Was A Refugee by S.G. Sinnicks cover

Описание к видео Jesus Was A Refugee by S.G. Sinnicks cover

Today is June 8th 2024, and though his birthday is tomorrow, I want to wish one of my best friends, Larry Holcomb a very happy birthday today. Larry is the founding directer of Urban Nations Outreach and I don't know another person who does more for refugees and immigrants in the name of Jesus than him. Here are the lyrics and chords to this great song by S.G. Sinnicks. He is an artist that I hope all of you will check out and I think he wrote the perfect song to wish Larry a very Happy Birthday weekend. Thanks for the song S.G and thank you for being born Larry.

Jesus Was A Refugee
G D
Jesus was a refugee
Am C
Arrived on a boat just like you and me
G D
Didn’t have any money couldn’t read the signs
Am C
Survived on charity not on crime
G
An immigrant he was
D G F G
Jesus was a refugee

Jesus was a working man
Made his living with sweat and hard hands
Never went to school not a penny to his name
So who would listen now to a damn word he’d say
No captain of industry
Jesus was a working man

C
Turn the other cheek
G
Feed my flock
C
And now empty actions
F C D
And emptier talk from above

Render to Caesar
Render the land
Throw them money lenders out
The Justice of Love was his plan

Jesus he was even called a drunk
Was called unclean and a heretic and a punk
Lived with the outcasts, the thieves and whores
You know all them folks now wouldn’t get past the temple door
So call yourself brother cause Jesus was even called a drunk
