TRIP REPORT | This is Emirates Low-Cost Airline | Krakow to Dubai | FlyDubai Boeing 737 MAX

FlyDubai Trip Report flying from Krakow to Dubai onboard one of the new FlyDubai Boeing 737 MAX on a beautiful summer morning.

This was my first time flying with FlyDubai, and it will probably be the last one. FlyDubai advertises itself as a low-cost airline but they are far from being that. Wizzair AbuDhabi is a low-cost. FlyDubai is a hybrid: not low prices but a very poor service. The only difference in positive with a low-cost are the screens on the seats, but still you have to pay to use its content.

With a 30-minute delay, we took off from Krakow and quickly made an almost 180° turn to the left, towards the Tatry Mountains, to start our route to Dubai. We crossed the mountains and flew towards Košice, in Slovakia. We then flew over Hungary and Romania. We reached the Black Sea over Constanta and flew towards Türkiye.

We crossed all Türkiye from west to east, enjoying some of the most amazing views of the mountains and lakes I've ever had. From there we turned right and entered Iran. We flew all the way down until reaching the Persian Gulf, already close to Dubai, where we landed around 20 minutes late.

The onboard service is terrible. That's the only way to describe it. You can buy a warm meal on the website (without knowing what it's gonna be) and what you get is just that plate and 100ml of water. The size of the warm plate is ridiculous. I think it is not even enough for a kid. The onboard menu has nothing but trash food and alcohol. Prepare yourself to starve on a FlyDubai flight.

All in all, a quite bad experience with FluDubai but a really amazing flight in terms of what we saw through the window. The contrast is even stronger when you realize that the owner of FlyDubai is the same as Emirates. In fact, they are partner airlines... They are day and night. I was expecting much more from FlyDubai. Probably because the prices are in the region of the Emirates ones... What a disappointment of an airline. I'm sorry for the negativity, but never again with them.
