Project Warhorse - Mold making experience - De Tinnen Roos & Victoria Miniatures

We (Stephan "SoliduS" Naber and Benjamin "Ben" Walter, HBS Hobby Bunker Schriesheim members) had the chance to travel to Millingen to visit De Tinnen Roos (DTR) 🇳🇱 and meet Ramon Jahn from the Netherlands, the professional and expert in 3D printing as well as mold making for metal spin casting and SiOCast productions on invitation by Victoria Lamb from Victoria Miniatures (VM) 🇦🇺.

We had the opportunity to experience an exclusive R&D workshop at DTR for two days! HBS Hobby Bunker Schriesheim would like to share this experience with our Victoria Miniatures community and show you all some of my impressions and insights here.

Ramon as founder and CEO of DTR introduced his team and showed us the production process from A to Z - within 48 hours - from 3D printing the master pieces, checking and optimizing supports on the 3D printed parts, cleaning the master pieces, making my very first SiOCast silicone mold, vulcanizing and curing the mold overnight, to the final step of injection molding to hold one of the first Victoria Miniatures warhorses and other parts of the #ProjectWarhorse Grimdark Rough Riders in SioCast material in my own hands.
