This year, CMS marks 25 years in business—a milestone that reflects not only our longevity but the strength of our people. In a new video as part of our Life @ CMS campaign, our Managing Director, Nic Smith, shares a powerful message: our people are our greatest asset.

CMS has always been a people-first business. As Nic explains, everything we’ve built has been driven by the individuals who bring their dedication, skill, and ambition to work every day. It's thanks to them that we've not only survived but thrived for a quarter of a century.

Looking ahead, the launch of our new Training Academy marks the beginning of an exciting chapter. Relocating our headquarters to the Academy isn’t just a change of address—it’s a renewed commitment to investing in people. The Academy serves as a dynamic foundation for growth, allowing us to attract emerging talent and strengthen our teams by identifying and addressing skills gaps through targeted training.

This isn’t limited to technical development. At CMS, we believe in cultivating well-rounded professionals—so our Academy focuses just as much on soft skills as it does on mechanical expertise.

Nic also shares his vision for the future: bringing at least 50 apprentices through the Academy each year. This ambitious initiative ensures we’re not only addressing current demands but also preparing for sustainable, long-term growth—while creating real opportunity for the next generation.
