As a young VR director, Qinya believes that we might need virtual reality more than ever before. It’s not because we want to escape from this comparatively sophisticated world. Instead, it’s because that, in virtual reality, we could understand each other from the first perspective. Thus, the discrepancies among us could be reduced. And on some level, there would be less cold and more love among people.

Ms. Guo was one of the first members of HTC VIVE X team. She studied in the Department of Film and Electronic Arts, and the Department of Political Studies at Bard College, where she minored in Theater Performance as well. After graduating from Bard, she went to Columbia University to study film production. She was one of the first entrepreneurs entering VR industry before it became popular. She is the founder of a company called Lumiere VR. She is currently combining machine learning and algorithms to build solutions that would help VR photographers to achieve virtual reality in mobile shooting. With TEDxBohaiBay, she will share the secret of how a woman works with art and technology.
