1000 Horsepower Pontiac 535 engine warms up on the dyno

Joel Smith's 535 Pontiac engine makes 1018.8 hp at 7200 rpm and an impressive 801 ft lbs of torque at 6200! This video is just the warm up before we make a pull. This engine is based of a MR-1A aluminum aftermarket block and set of Kauffman Racing Equipment Super Wedge heads. Engine uses one of our custom ground solid roller cams topped off with a KRE Polar Wind intake Quick Fuel 1450 cfm carb. This combo should be a handful in Joel's rear engine dragster! We have a feeling that he may land himself on the fastest . Pontiacs . ever Top 10 NA list! We will be keeping an eye on him for sure....
