Over the years, Tingo has provided an e-commerce platform that enables farmers to access the global market by seamlessly connecting them to buyers.

Recently, Tingo improved on their offerings to the farmers by creating fintech solutions leveraging on its payment gateway which allows them to receive real-time sales proceeds online when purchases are made through its Nwassa platform.

With its partnership with Visa International, Tingo, now offers farmers the opportunity of receiving their payment proceeds through their wallet which is linked to their cards both in USD and local currency, Naira.

The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) now seeks to leverage on these offerings for their over 20 million existing customers with features which includes but not limited to access to very low interest rate loan facilities, discounts and loyalty rewards, low transaction cost, Tingo phones preloaded with Tingo application that allows for a 48-month repayment period etc.

The official launch and unveiling of the Tingo Visa Card was done on Wednesday 16th November, 2022, by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar, during the Africa Farmers Day Celebration in Abuja, organized by AFAN in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

During the Farmer's Day Celebration, Tingo also showcased other products like TingoPay, Tingo Payment Gateway, Tingo POS and Tingo Phone.

The Tingo Visa Contactless Card is sponsored by United Bank of Africa and it's accepted on all payment channels world over.
